Airplane Applique Class

Machine Embroidery pattern.
Bring fabric of your choice for a project like a pillow or a tote bag.
You will receive the airplane applique machine embroidery pattern. Then learn how to use this pattern on your project

Beginning Serger (overlocker)

Learn your serger. We will practice threading, knife engagement and disengagement, 3 thread, 4 thread and rolled hem. You'll learn lettuce leaf edging on knits, then we will make Serger coasters. Fabric for a coaster is included in this class. or you may bring your own fabric.

Hemming and Gathering Class

Learn how to gather several ways and how to use a gathering foot or ruffler foot. After practicing with these techniques, we will move on to hemming. Several techniques will be presented, and students get to practice what they've learned.

Zippers, Buttonholes, Button

This class is for students who would like to learn to install zippers the easy way. Extensive handouts will have instructions for all and we will all practice at least 2 zippers. Then we'll move on to buttonholes and button sewing. All machines do buttonholes differently so be sure to bring your own machine to practice.

Make a Tee Shirt

A wardrobe staple for everyone is a T-shirt. In this beginner serging class we will be making a scoop neck, short sleeve tee shirt with knit fabric.

Embroidery Computer Class

This class will teach you basic computer skills as they relate to machine embroidery. Using Windows 10, you will learn how to download a design, how to save it to a USB stick, and take it to your machine to stitch it out. You will also learn to transfer a design from a CD to USB stick. You will also learn to save designs to your hard drive and organize them so you can easily find them. You will create folders, and learn to copy and Paste.
This is a 1 hour class, but you can add more time if necessary

Invisible Zippered Pillow Cover

In this class you will learn to insert an invisible zipper and construct a 16" pillow cover. Written step by step instructions with photos is included. After purchase, a class handout with the tutorial will be available for download. See your receipt for the download.

Make Your Own Leggings Serger Class

Sew how easy it is to make your own basic leggings. Come to class with your pattern cut out and elastic for the waist. We will serge the pants together and then practice with a coverstitch machne to finish the hem and waistband. You'll save a ton when you make your own leggings.
